Join Ricardo Frota to stretch your imagination with musical exploration, improvisation and fun! Explore and create your own Sounds of the Rain Forest to conduct your own sound/music ensemble . Sing and play traditional children's songs from Brasil, Latin America, region of the AmazonRain Forest and North America natives. Make your own mask for a dance celebrating Puerto Rico carnival!!!!!
Drum + Dance with ladies of Marafanyi
For ages 5-9 years old
Wednesday-Thursday-Friday, February 17th-19th
9-4pm
Cost: $150 per 3 day program; $60-per day
Join the ladies of Marafanyi for an inspired cultural journey to West Africa.Learn rhythms, dances and songs "hands-on" with imaginative play. This group has an approach to music, art & culture that is fun, encouraging and accessible with a focus on joyful exploration! Marafanyi ( Lara Gonzalez and Yael Shacham) co-founders and artistic directors of Marafanyi Drum,Dance & Song have been teaching all ages and populations for over 10 years and travel frequently to Guinea, West Africa to refresh their curriculum.
